Sierra Monolithics Introduces Highly Integrated Transceiver for WiMax/WiBro Repeaters and Access Nodes - SMI7081

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Sierra Monolithics, a leading Analog/ RF IC company for Wireless, Optical Communications, and Microwave/Millimeter Wave applications, is introducing a new transceiver IC for WiMAX/WiBro repeater applications – SMI7081. This is a high-performance dual-band RFIC that supports 2.5 & 3.5 GHz bands. SMI7081 offers excellent performance at a competitive price, enabling customers to simplify their repeater designs while greatly improving their time-to-market capability.

SMI7081 is an innovative product and it compliments the W-CDMA single-chip repeater IC that we have begun shipping.”

SMI7081 has programmable gain in RX and TX sections, both digital and analog, to allow customers optimum operating points. The product has superior phase noise and housed in a 48-pin QFN SMT package.
