REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Sierra Monolithics, a leading supplier of high performance ICs and modules for high speed Analog and RF applications today announced the opening of its Irvine Design Center. This expansion in the heart of the high technology corridor in Southern California is driven by the strong growth and increasing opportunities in Sierra Monolithics’ business.

The new Irvine office is conveniently located on Irvine Center Drive directly across from the Irvine Spectrum® Entertainment Center, north of the confluence of San Diego (405) Freeway and Santa Ana (5) Freeway, on the main floor of one of two distinctive towers in the heart of Irvine Spectrum®.

“We saw tremendous growth in 2007 and we are bullish about our business prospects for the future. We see a lot of opportunities in all of our markets, and we see the need to add top notch engineering talent to our team in order to address our growth needs and to take the company to the next level,” said CEO Javed Patel.

"SMI's market success and aggressive growth plans demand that we accelerate our hiring of the best engineers in the industry. The Irvine Spectrum® area has a wealth of such talent in both public and start-up companies, and I know SMI's pre-IPO status and bright future will appeal to many of them," said George Eaton, Senior Vice-President of Engineering at SMI, who will be stationed primarily at the new Irvine office.
